Working Hard or Hardly Working: Brisbane (Part 1)

December 8, 2012

Some photos taken between shifts along Brisbane’s South Bank. Brisbane is one of my favourite Australian cities, maybe because it feels like Adelaide and Sydney’s mixed up lovechild. I wish I had the chance to properly visit the CBD – I love the Queen Street mall, but have never had a chance to check out Fortitude Valley.

Fun times in taxis were had, fearing for my life as the taxi driver changed lanes without indicating/talked to himself manically/went way to fast, but delicious Japanese food was had afterwards at Bishamon, so I felt better.

Not sure if I love or hate this dress. I’ve recently come to dislike any form of too feminine clothing, going back to my roots as a sort of tomboy. Reminds me of the time as a 3 year old, when I woke up one day with a total hatred of pink in my heart (which I was previously obsessed with) which compelled me to throw my bright pink sandals out the window in an effort to rid myself of them forever.
