Where the Wild Things Are

January 22, 2013

After hiring the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens for the weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to take it to the Adelaide Zoo (yes, we like the zoo!). This is what we came up with!

Photography is something we both really enjoy together and neither of us have had much experience with a telephoto lens.

Unfortunately, quite a few of the exhibits were closed because either it was too hot for the animals (looking at you, pandas), the exhibit is being renovated or the occupant had recently died (pygmy hippos :().

The monkeys were definitely the most fun to photograph and provided for the best photos, but a few other animals made the cut too.

Also got some photos of my zoo appropiate outfit (the zoo animal that I am) with my lizard print jacket and leopard print top!

^ Monkeys digging in the soil!
^ Actually two snakes sitting on the same branch (not a single snake, as I originally thought)
