When I was a very small child, the colour pink was a crucial part of my life. As a 3 year old, everything had to be pink. Then one day, I woke up and found I had a burning hatred for pink. I couldn’t (and still don’t) understand why I had this feeling, but anyway tried my hardest to rid myself of every last pink posession I owned. From that point on, pink was no longer a go-to colour for me.
However, I feel like pastel colours (particularly pink) are really having a moment – and understandably so. They can be so elegant, particularly in more grown-up and tailored pieces like my C/meo Collective skirt.
My skirt is from a couple of seasons back, but Australian Fashion Labels have brought this skirt back a couple of times in different colours – but also always have some gorgeous tailored pieces in their collections.
I’m also particularly pleased that my skirt is a perfect match (colour-wise) for my Karla Spetic top. It’s from one of my all time favourite collections from any designer – who doesn’t love the gorgeous mother of pearl print?
