I recently got the opportunity to order a new pair of frames through online optical store, Firmoo.
I’ve worn prescription glasses since high school, and although I don’t often wear them in posts, I wear them almost all the time.
My current pair are from Chanel, which I purchased from a bricks and mortar store with the prescription lenses arranged by my optometrist. Since Firmoo is a completely online store, I was really curious to experience their service.
Although Firmoo’s frame selection isn’t branded, they have so many styles available including sunglasses. When I purchase frames, finding a pair that suits my face structure is one of the most important parts. This can be tedious enough in a physical store, however Firmoo has a tool where you can upload a photo of yourself and virtually try on frames. It’s obviously not quite the same as really trying on a pair, but it works quite well.
I went with a trendy oversized tortoiseshell pair which are available for approx AUD 35. They’re great value for money – there isn’t too much difference in quality between my Firmoo and Chanel pairs. At that price, you could get several pairs for different outfits or occaisions!
When it comes to selecting lenses, the process is really easy. All you need to do is add your perscription during check out, where you can also choose lens specifications such as coatings etc.
New users get 15% off their first order, so you can’t go wrong trying out Firmoo – I’m already looking for my next pair!
